OpenWeatherMap API Key for the Weather Widget (Web4 Classic)

An OpenWeatherMap API key is used to show your users the current weather based on their location.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access the OpenWeatherMap Console Go to the Weather API console and log in with your OpenWeather credentials. If you don't have an account, you will need to create one.

2. Create a New Key

   • Once logged in, go to the API keys page.

   • Find the "Create key" section.

   • Enter a name for your key (e.g., your Web4 network name) and click "Generate".

3. Copy the API Key

   • Your new API key will appear in the table on the left. Grab the key from the list.

4. Enable the Weather Widget in Linkspreed

   • Go to your Admin Panel and navigate to Manage Website Features -> Enable / Disable Features -> Weather Widget.

   • Enable the "Weather Widget" by clicking the toggle.

   • In the "Weather APP ID" field, enter the API key you just created.
