Most identity systems were built for one kind of actor. UIID was built for six. Human Individual, Organization, AI Agent, Hardware Node, Digital Service and Collective all get their own identity type, which means your business can finally represent everything that acts on its behalf in one coherent system, instead of bolting API keys onto an account system meant for people.
Your company gets its own identity. An Organization UIID represents the business itself — not a founder's personal account with a company name attached. It's the identity that should hold your application registrations, your issued credentials and the agents acting under your authority.
Your team keeps their own. Each employee uses their personal Human Individual UIID, and employment is represented through permissions and badges rather than by handing the company ownership of someone's identity. When someone leaves, you revoke access — their identity, and your organization's, both stay intact.
Non-profits and associations qualify too. Organization identity isn't limited to for-profit companies — associations, clubs and non-profits are equally eligible, and it's the same route to applying for Verifier status, which lets you issue portable, verifiable badges for things like membership, certification or completed training.
Your machines get accountability instead of a shared password. AI agents, IoT hardware and headless services each get a narrowly scoped, revocable identity through the Agent Factory, so "who did this" is always answerable.
