Your options: Amazon S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, Backblaze, Google Cloud Storage, Wasabi (via S3 or FTP), or a standard FTP server. All are configured from your admin panel.
This choice matters more than it looks, because it decides where your community's files actually live — and because storage is billed by the provider you choose, not by us.
Three questions that make the decision:
How media-heavy will your community be? A photo- and video-driven network costs meaningfully more to store than a text-driven one. If members will be uploading video, cost per gigabyte is your main criterion.
Where does the data need to sit? If your members are European and your community handles anything sensitive, choose a provider and region that match that expectation. This is a decision you make, not one made for you.
How much operational comfort do you want? The large providers are more familiar and better documented. FTP is the simplest and the most manual.
A reasonable default: start with whichever provider you or your technical helper already know. Storage can be reconfigured; an unfamiliar provider you cannot debug slows everything down.
Configure it in your admin panel.
