I already have dozens of logins. What happens when I bring an existing account into UIID?

You are not asked to start from nothing. Traditional logins — social accounts, banking logins — can be converted into decoupled Web4 keys.

What changes afterwards: Once the conversion is done, the link to the legacy tracking behind that old login is severed. The old account stops being the thing that identifies you.

What replaces the password: Your credential becomes device-based and biometric-secured, held on your own hardware rather than in a company database. There is no password to remember and no stored password for anyone to steal.

Set up recovery at the same time: Save your backup codes and decide whether to keep UIID Cloud enabled. UIID Cloud keeps an encrypted backup, so a lost device does not mean a lost identity. If you switch it off and rely only on an exported .uiid file, that file becomes your only copy.

Where to start: uiid.me. If you are unsure whether a specific login can be converted today, ask [email protected].
